The Plan up to Drive Day, Today!

O mehki mehki thandi hawa ye bata
Mere yaar ki gali ka kya
Tujh ko hai pata
Hawa ne has ke kaha
Arre sun le us ka pata
Milna hai yaar se toh ja
Bombay to Goa

As Kishore Kumar sang this legendary song, It immortalised the love of a traveller to visit Goa and enjoy the passion, excitement, peace it has to offer virtually all round the year.
It is a short trip, so according to '2 is company, 3 is a crowd' theory, we went on with a crowd option 'Dil Chahta Hai' style as Ashish called upon Kaustub, his college buddy to join us.Both lazy enough to move their a**es or minds, threw me the 'Easy' task of choosing the travel routes, booking up the hotel rooms(should be AC, wifi, complimentary breakfast, swimming pool, good crowd?!(duh?!) etc. Small wish list to consider as they say they choose to give me company by staying awake while I'm driving the whole 1500+ Kms journey! As I informed them about the thumb rule for travelling 500+ Kms journey of having at least 2 capable divers, Ashish backed away saying he's very used to driving down the highways in USA who's roads are as smooth as Kim Kardashian's curves. He mentioned he cannot handle the car while cows, stray dogs, black bucks or any other endangered specie crossing the narrow Indian highways, while Kaustub is more into Bud's & Monks than driving. So much for WE, a Team!

Il be posting about the routes, the journey, hotel bookings soon.

We begin at 23.30 Hrs

T Minus 1 Day

Every Guy's checklist in India, be it from a teenager to 30+ - 60+ (Age no bar)(location no bar) is to visit Goa with his family, buddies, with his TO BE wife or IF AT ALL to be wife etc. My first Goa time did arrive 28 years into the making..Slow..considering the fast pace of today's generation who's "been there, done that at age 15".
This trip to Goa I consider a '2nd' take, as the 1st visit if you may ask was simply, not so memorable..probably just due to the enormous exciting prospects of experience Goa has to offer but tasting virtually none of it.
Although December & January are the most perfect and popular months to visit Goa, almost 100% rain-free with lovely cool mornings and evenings and hot beach weather during the day. This is the lucky Goa's winter, But the onset of idea to visit Goa at the beginning of November came from my friend Ashish, currently settled in USA visiting homeland for a short stay. His three choices were..I'd say very obvious from his end..

A)Goa

B)Bangkok
C)Goa

So considering the scarcity of options in his almost an NRI mind(and also due to festive season of Diwali approaching) it was decided a shot to Goa for a weekend plus a monday.A marvellous choice.. ;-)
